In 2009 I met (and later married) the love of my life; a man that loves soul food and was initially opposed to eating any of my fancy food favorites. Thus began my crusade to perfect his low-country favorites, as well as add flavor and depth to the plethora of classy foods I now introduce him to, making his transition into his ‘champagne and risotto’ lifestyle that much easier.
Not only are champagne and risotto two of my favorite things in life, but they have also been identified by close friends as a perfect example of the new lifestyle my husband is being forced to become accustomed to; a stark contrast to his normal eating habits, who would likely say his favorite foods include steak, Kraft macaroni and cheese, and Taco Bell…oh my.
My love and passion for food has slowly turned into a hobby that my friends and husband are both thankful for. This blog is designed as an easy way to share my recipes with others, and a way to keep track of all my recipes and pictures for myself.
Keep reading, comment, and most of all happy cooking!
I am truly the luckiest man alive… I have the most physically and intellectually mesmerizing wife in the world, who happens to be a wonderful Chef… A true Blessing…
I hope you all enjoy her meals as much as I have and will continue to do…
(Maybe one day she’ll let me add a dessert or two…) 😉
